CCAGW Shares CAGW’s Comments on 340B Rebate Model Request for Information with House of Representatives

April 20, 2026

U.S. House of Representatives
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Representative,

On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I am pleased to provide you with Citizens Against Government Waste’s public comments to the Health Resources and Services Administration regarding their request for information on a 340B Rebate Model Pilot Program.

Like far too many federal programs, the 340B Drug Discount Program was well-intentioned but ended up costing more than expected and became prone to waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement.  A 340B Rebate Model Pilot Program would be a positive step in the effort to reform a program that has grown out of control and fails to provide the intended benefits.  The pilot program would increase transparency, move the program closer to its statutory intent, and reduce the waste, abuse, and uncertainty currently plaguing the 340B program.

In addition to reading CAGW’s comments, I urge you to support the Rebate Model Pilot Program by signing on to the Dear Colleague letter that is being circulated by Reps. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) and Diana Harshbarger (R-Tenn.).

If you have any questions, please contact Eric Maus at emaus@cagw.org.

Sincerely,

Tom Schatz
