U.S. House of Representatives
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Representative,

You will soon be considering H.R. 6703, the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act.  On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to vote in favor of  H.R. 6703.

Americans are looking to their representatives in Congress to lower the cost and improve the quality of healthcare.  H.R. 6703 gives them the solutions that they need.  The bill reduces premiums by appropriating funds for cost-sharing reduction payments that would be targeted to low-income Americans who need them the most.  Crucially, H.R. 6703 does not extend the enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies which were intended to expire at the end of 2025 and have proven to be rife with waste, fraud, and abuse.

This legislation increases healthcare access for Americans by expanding access to association health plans for individuals and stop-loss insurance for small businesses.

While CCAGW would have preferred a different approach to the bill’s provisions regarding pharmacy benefit managers, this legislation should be passed by the House of Representatives.  H.R. 6703 will lower healthcare costs, give families and patients more control over their healthcare decisions, and save $30 billion for taxpayers.  Again, I urge you to vote yes on H.R. 6703.  All votes related to H.R. 6703 may be among those considered for CCAGW’s 2025 Congressional Ratings.

Sincerely,

Thomas Schatz
President, CCAGW
